Taylor Made x Omnom Cheese Making Online Burrata Workshop
By Che-Marie Trigg
You, a cheesemaking kit and a bottle of wine in the comfort of your own kitchen – it’s the best kind of cheese dream.
Sip good wine and make your own cheese with a one-off burrata-making, vino-drinking workshop from the Clare Valley’s Taylor Made Wines and Sydney’s Omnom Cheese Making. They’ve joined up for a virtual lesson via Facebook Live, with Omnom’s fromage whizz Marly Badia taking students through the burrata creation process step-by-step.
Attendees will be sent a cheesemaking kit, which contains tools and recipes for making burrata, as well as ricotta, feta and more (although you’ll need to provide a few basic elements yourself). You’ll also get your choice of chardonnay, rosé or pinot noir to sip as you stir, strain and salt your soon-to-be burrata.
Badia will be joined by My Kitchen Rules 2015 winner Will Stewart. The gregarious Brit will talk pupils through the vino they’re drinking and how to put together a snazzy cheese platter.
